Moves data from a file to another

Syntax

Explanation:

  1. from:

    • Specifies the name of the source data from which the data will be moved.
  2. to:

    • Specifies the name of the destination data where the data will be moved.
  3. options:

    • An optional object containing additional parameters:
      • query: Optional query to filter the data before moving.
      • dropSource: Optional boolean flag indicating whether to drop the source data after moving.
  4. Filtering Source Data:

    • If the query option is provided, the function loads all data from the source data matching the specified query using the loadAll method.
    • If the filtered data is not empty, it replaces the source data with the filtered data.
  5. Dropping Source Data:

    • If the dropSource option is true, the function removes the source data after moving it to the destination.
    • If a query is provided, it removes only the filtered data from the source.
    • If no query is provided, it removes all data from the source.
  6. Moving Data to Destination:

    • The function loads data from the destination using the load method.
    • It appends the source data to the existing data in the destination.
    • It then writes the combined data to the destination file.
  7. Encoding Data (if secure):

    • If data encryption is enabled, the function encodes the data before writing it to the file.
  8. Logging:

    • Success or error logs are maintained throughout the function execution for debugging and monitoring purposes.
  9. Result:

    • The function returns an object containing acknowledgment of the operation's success, a message indicating the outcome, and the moved data in the destination.
